Privacy Policy

Overview

MyNextDollar respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our calculators and tools.

Calculator Data

Calculator inputs, shared assumptions and saved scenarios are stored locally in your browser. We do not:

• Upload your live calculator inputs as you model
• Sell your financial or account information

Calculator data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose an export feature. If you ask us to email a result or worked comparison, we process the email address and the information required to create that export. Clearing browser storage can remove locally stored data.

Emails and Follow-ups

When you request an emailed result or worked comparison, we use your address to deliver what you requested and record the source of that request. A marketing follow-up is sent only when a form presents an optional consent box and you select it. Consent boxes are off by default.

Consented comparison journeys currently contain one automated follow-up. Every follow-up identifies MyNextDollar, provides a contact address and includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing prevents further follow-up from that sequence. You can also ask us to delete a lead record, subject to records we must retain for legal or accounting purposes.

Pro Monthly Progress

If you use Monthly Progress as a Pro member, the monthly summary you choose to save is stored against your Supabase account. A snapshot can include household income, monthly surplus, living expenses, mortgage, offset, investments, super, HELP debt, modelled net position and an optional note. This lets your history remain available when you sign in on another device.

Signed-in users can only read and delete their own monthly history. Only an account with active Pro access can add or update a snapshot. Clearing Monthly Progress removes the synced history from your account and the cached copy in that browser.

Accounts and Payments

You can use the calculators without an account. If you choose to sign in or buy MyNextDollar Pro, we collect the information needed to provide and manage that service:

• Your email address and account identifier through Supabase
• Your plan, access status and billing identifiers
• Payment information handled by Stripe; MyNextDollar does not store full card details
• Support messages and onboarding details you choose to provide

We use this information to authenticate you, provide paid access, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud and respond to support requests.

Analytics

We use first-party product analytics to understand which pages, calculators, email journeys and checkout steps are useful. The analytics record uses a random browser visitor identifier and session identifier. It does not include your calculator values, email address or other personal financial inputs.

• Page and landing-path visits
• Calculator starts, completions and result views
• Email, referral and checkout actions
• UTM campaign and referring-site information when available

Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity may also be enabled in some environments to improve the site. Neither service receives calculator inputs from MyNextDollar. Browser privacy settings and content blockers may limit these services.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

• Session cookies when an enabled analytics provider requires them
• LocalStorage for calculator preferences, saved scenarios, first-party analytics identifiers and a local cache of your Pro monthly history

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

MyNextDollar uses the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics: Privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Microsoft Clarity: Privacy policy at https://clarity.microsoft.com/privacy
• Supabase: Account authentication, paid-access records and Pro monthly snapshots
• Stripe: Checkout, payment processing and subscription management
• Resend: Delivery of requested exports, comparisons and consented follow-up emails

Your Rights

You can:

• Clear local calculator data by clearing your browser's local storage
• Delete all synced monthly snapshots from Monthly Progress
• You can disable analytics tracking in your browser settings
• Request access to or correction of personal information we hold
• Request deletion of your account, subject to records we must retain for legal or accounting purposes
• Withdraw email follow-up consent through the unsubscribe link in any follow-up
• Manage or cancel a Pro subscription through the billing portal

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

MyNextDollar provides educational scenario modelling tools, not financial advice. We are not licensed financial advisers and our calculators do not account for your complete financial situation, risk tolerance, tax position, insurance needs, or personal circumstances.
